OSFI New Supervisory Framework (2024)

OSFI released a new supervisory framework in 2024 (https://www.osfi-bsif.gc.ca/en/news/osfi-releases-new-supervisory-framework-modernize-financial-supervision) however the current syllabus still references the framework from 2010. There are some significant changes. One that I noticed is that the old supervisory framework has 9 key principles whereas the new framework only has 3. I am not entirely sure which reading to rely on for the exam but I am going to ere on relying on the reading that is referenced in the syllabus.

    Good callout for this new update. You'll notice there are several readings on the syllabus where the source paper/notice is out-of-date (for example, Chev.Agric Growing Forward 2 plan). I hope CAS updates their syllabus to include new developments, such as the one you mentioned above, but for now I would stick to using what is listed in the 6C syllabus. This is what the graders will be familiar with, and expecting.
