I stopped doing the exam summaries because there didn’t seem to be any value in it anymore. So much of the syllabus from then is out of date, and I believe the general format of the exam is different as well. It used to be that you could rely on a specific ordering of the questions. For example, questions about the appointed actuary generally appeared at the end, and most of the calculation questions were in the middle. Knowing that definitely had value, but as that is likely not the case anymore, there just didn’t seem to be a reason to continue with the summaries as I had done. What really would be helpful is if the CAS would release at least one current sample exam but that is out of my hands.
