Trial Lawyers Advantage vs Disadvantage
If you look at Joint and Several Liability I understand it encourages pre trial settlement and so it results in a more efficient legal process. While this is clearly an advantage of the legal process as a whole, I struggle to see why this is an advantage for Trial Lawyers who benefit from legal cases going to court as they get higher compensation?

Settlement allows trial lawyers to churn through cases more quickly, which could lead to more money for them than going to court if they are able to handle more cases and is also administratively lighter
