How is adjusted investment yield related to investment yield from P&C?
The formulas appear very similar. The adjusted includes OCI, the P&C version does not specifically state OCI is included (it only includes net investment income).
Are they purposely different? Or are they in fact the same?

The formulas are different. One is a calculation required for the P&C return. The other is a supplementary metric by MSA Research (https://www.msaresearch.com/AboutMSA.aspx) for evaluating the financial health of a company.
