it did not state the traingles are gross or net . Do we automatically assume loss traingles are gross loss traingles? or did I miss anything?

I think they just forgot to tell you they were gross triangles. That's why in my solution I specifically labelled those triangles are gross.
By the way, that was the second-worst done question on the 2018.Fall exam. The average score was only 1.80 out of 4.75. It was an extremely difficult question. It's a good question to study from however because it covers so many topics. If you haven't seen it already, I included 8 more randomized problems in the wiki article for CCIR.ARinstr for extra practice that are just like the exam problem.

Orginally, I thought they didn't say intentionally and have you figure it out by looking at other numbers provided in the question.
