Comprehensive Income

I noticed on the syllabus, there is "Comprehensive Income" under C1.

It appears BattleActs doesn't cover a lot material on it (or maybe i am missing anything)

I was reading P&C1 - 20.42, there is a whole template to calculate Comprehensive income, is it good idea to go over details calculation of CI under P&C1 - 20.42

  • CI = Net Income + AOCI. I think that would be the extent to which you would need to know

  • is AOCI the same as OCI?

  • AOCI stands for accumulated other comprehensive income while OCI stands for other comprehensive income

  • I understand that, but I always thought CI = Net Income + OCI
and AOCI is just used to keep track of the potential for OCI. Thoughts?

  • Owh yes it should be CI = NI + OCI. As you said, AOCI is just to keep track of the overall CI
