Data integrity vs verification

For the key principle of data management when managing earthquake exposure, how do we distinguish these two concepts? In both cases, it seems like we're verifying the accuracy of data captured. Is the distinction then that data verification is making sure that the data makes sense in aggregate whereas data integrity focuses on the collection of the data itself?

  • Data integrity: Obtain consistent, accurate and complete data to estimate the insurer’s exposure to earthquake risk.
Data verification: have processes in place to verify that their databases are accurately
    capturing all the data received.

Tbh it seems like they are interchangeable. I would say your interpretation is right. Or, data integrity is making sure you have the right types of data coming in while data verification is making sure there are no errors once you have the right type of data flowing in.
