Practice exam #2 Q1

For part C, I answered that driver would be covered under coverage period (1) - that is, logged into the app but did not pick up a passenger yet (since the passenger that he has in the car is hailed from the street). I said that the TPL limit would be $1M and that physical damage is excluded. My question is, does the act of picking up a passenger from the street Disqualifies the driver from receiving TNC coverage completely?

Thanks,

  • yes, street-hailed passengers are excluded so it doesn't matter what coverage period they are in I believe

  • As per the source: The SPF9 only provides insurance coverage for rides that have been booked electronically using the TNC application. It provides no insurance coverage when
    passengers have street-hailed a ride
