Adj Inv Yield and Cap gains

Hi,

In MSA table, the Meaning of AdjInvYld states: "measures income and capital gains relative to assets"
But seems like CAS is using Net.InvInc which excludes realized gains as per: https://www.battleactsmain.ca/vanillaforum/discussion/44/fall-2017-25-ro
Should we include or exclude realized cap gains for Net.InvInc for calculation of AdjInvYld?

    That discussion may be at least partially out-of-date because the CCIR Annual Statement Instructions have been revised for IFRS 17. According to the new CCIR instructions, net investment income includes capital gains. Here is the relevant section:
